| Description_MKT | All internal combustion engines display crankshaft torsional vibration. As the piston rises and falls so does cylinder pressure. The changing pressure results in forces being transmitted along the connecting rod and applied to the crankshaft journal. The TCI Rattler counteracts those vibrations by using internal rollers that automatically offset twisting forces that cause vibration (see Fig. 1). The Rattler is an absorber that eliminates the root cause of torsional vibration. It is effective for the entire RPM range and extends crankshaft and bearing life, as well as increases valve train stability and life. The design does not utilize viscous fluids and requires virtually no maintenance. And the unit’s timing marks are etched onto the body and cannot move relative to crankshaft centerline. The Rattler is also lighter in weight than most units of the same size and material construction. Its design features steel rollers (centrifugal pendulums) that fit loosely into a specific number of holes. By using patented, exact mathematical relationship, the rollers will roll forward during compression stroke and backward during power stroke to keep engine speed variation and vibration to a minimum. The rollers actually store and release energy back into the crankshaft rather than converting it to heat energy as dampers do. Special Order Policy & Cancellations
Special order parts are defined by Grudge Motorsports, LLC as any product, auto part, performance part, tool, accessory, etc., that we do not currently have in stock, that are on backorder, or that we do not stock as a shelf item which may be due to lack of popularity or the part has various options that make each order unique. This does not mean the part is not currently available. Many manufactures keep less popular parts they produce in stock and can process orders we submit quickly. If the manufacturer has the item in stock it will normally drop ship directly to you within 5-7 business days depending on your location and the type of shipping required. Otherwise the factory may have to produce or final finish a part which typically ships in 3-6 weeks but can take up to 12 weeks or more for certain parts.
There is NO guaranteed delivery date for any special order and manufacturers often change the expected ship date several times. Contact us before making a purchase if you want to get more info on an estimated ship date which will help avoid cancellation issues.

Special orders are sent directly to the manufacturer and usually drop ships directly from them in many cases but occasionally ships to one of our distribution centers and then shipped to the shipping address provided at purchase. In these cases we work extra hard to expedite getting the order shipped quickly.
